DAY 1
Pick up from a Airport in Tokyo or hotel in Tokyo.
Transfer
to Lake Kawaguchiko near Mount Fuji where you will enjoy
beautiful view of Mount Fuji from this popular lake. Lake Kawaguchi is the most
popular of the Fuji Five Lakes in terms of tourists, and has the most developed
tourist infrastructure.The area also serves as a major hub for those wishing to
climb Mount Fuji during the climbing season. At Lake Kawaguchiko, explore the following attractions:
- Koyo
Tunnel
- Maple
Corridor
- Kawaguchiko Music Forest
- Kawaguchiko Museum of Art
After
exploring all the attractions, proceed to Kachi
Kachi Ropeway to observation deck near the peak of Mt Tenjo. Take picture of the panoramic
view of Mt Fuji and the Kachi Kachi
Rabbit. After observation, take
Kachi Kachi Ropeway down.
Transfer
to hotel near Kawaguchiko Station
and check in hotel.
DAY 2
Pick
up from a hotel near Kawaguchiko station.
Transfer to Fuji 5th Station. At 2300 meters above sea level, the Fuji
5th Station offers a commanding view of the Fuji Five Lakes area
below, making it a popular spot even for those who are not intent on climbing
the mountain. An observation point with unobstructed views of Fujiyoshida City and Lake Yamanaka can be found at Komitake
Shrine behind the shops. Then proceed
to Ochudo Trail and do some trekking around the mountain of Mt Fuji with
great scenic view. After trekking, transfer to hotel near Owakudani and check in hotel.
DAY 3
Check out hotel. Transfer
to Owakudani and explore.
Enjoy good views of Mount Fuji
from there. A short walking trail (about ten minutes one way) leads from
the ropeway station into the volcanic zone
to a number of steam vents and bubbling pools. Here you can purchase eggs,
cooked in the naturally hot water, whose shells are blackened by the sulfur and
which are said to prolong one's life by seven years. If you like to be more adventurous, proceed to a hiking trail leading
from the ropeway station to the peak of
Mount Kamiyama and continues on to Mount
Komagatake from where you can catch the Komagatake Ropeway down to Lake Ashinoko. The hike
takes about 2 hours one way and can be rocky or slippery as well as quite
windy. Proper hiking shoes and rain gear are recommended. After exploring,
transfer to hotel in Tokyo or Airport in Tokyo. End
of tour.
